INTENSIVE: WSET Level 2 Award in Wines 13 & 14 JAN. Warren Street, Fitzrovia
WSET Level 2 Award in Wines - 2 Consecutive days Sat & Sun 13 & 14 Jan 2024
This course is hosted at our Warren Street shop and tasting room in Fitzrovia.
This is the course for those looking to build their confidence in wines, broaden their vinous horizons and turn drinking into tasting.
The Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 2 Award in Wines is an internationally recognised wine qualification. This qualification is ideal for both wine enthusiasts or trade. No prior knowledge is required but those completely new to wine tasting are reccomended to first complete WSET Level 1 in Wines.
All courses take place in our dedicated tasting room in Barnsbury in small groups.
Together we'll cover how to taste wine (using a globally recognised approach), how environmental factors, grape-growing, winemaking and maturation options influence the style and quality of wines made from eight principal grape varieties, storage and service of wine and wine pairing.
Perhaps most importantly the course includes a tutored tasting of forty exceptional wines selected as exemplary examples of their styles. Whilst these wines will change depending on availability we will always include some of the world's leading wines - we believe the quality of the wines you'll taste to be a key point of difference to other schools making the course a real joy.
This Level 2 Awards in wine course is run over 2 days starting at 8:45pm every and finishing at 5:50 each day. A 60 minute multiple choice exam finishes the course - this can be taken after the course to allow time to study.
