Must & Lees has teamed up with Vin en Vacances, Languedoc based wine and gourmet tour providers, to offer the Vine Guardians program which was set up to help the small independent wine maker: Puy Vignoble.
Thanks to Covid, severe frosts, supply chain issues and ever-increasing costs many small independent winemakers have had to hang up their secateurs. When things were looking particularly difficult in the Languedoc Vin en Vacances stepped in, initially reaching out to their customers to offer them a chance to come to the rescue by adopting a row of vines in return for a case of wine and a deep-rooted connection to the Puy vineyard. Their support helped Puy Vignoble to overcome the damage, thrive again and continue to produce delicious Languedoc wines.
We're proud to be part of the Guardians program maaking it availavble to everyone in the UK.

About the Wines
Premier Cru Guardians will receive a mixed case of 2 x Minervois White, 2 x Minervois rosé and 2 x Minervois red.
Sous la Cabane is the name of the Minervois white which is a blend of 60% Grenache Blanc, 30% Marsanne and the rest is made up of Viognier and Vermentino. Its intense flavour has a citrus character underlined with stone fruit and the fresh flavours linger long on the palate.
Diouselle is the name of the Minervois rosé which is a blend made from mainly Grenache Gris and Syrah. The very pale pink colour belies the intense flavour of summer fruits with a savoury white pepper finish on the tongue.
Peyrottes is the Minervois red, a blend of Syrah and Grenache. The red fruit flavours are joined by garrigue and dried herb flavours and a slightly peppery finish making it the perfect accompaniment to lean red meat.
Also available from Puy Vignoble:
Grand Cru Guardians receive a case of Emmanuel Puy’s top cuveé which he has named Le Clos des Matelles, named after the vineyard area, where the grapes are grown. This delicious red wine is a blend of barrel fermented and aged Carignan and Mourvèdre. It’s a full-bodied wine with flavours of dark cherry, spice and a hint of tobacco leaf and leather. You can drink it now or wait for up to 7 years.
