WSET Level 1 Award in Wines - 1 Day Course Sat 21st May
WSET Level 1 Award in Wines - 10am Sat May 21st
Looking to gain confidence when ordering wine, broaden your vinous horizons or be better able to navigate a wine list? You're in the right place.
The Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 1 Award in Wines is an internationally recognised wine qualification. This entry-level qualification is ideal for both wine enthusiasts or those just embarking on a career in wine or hospitality.
All courses take place in our dedicated tasting room in Barnsbury in small groups.
Together we'll cover how to taste wine (using a globally recognised approach), common wine grapes and their characteristics, food and wine pairing, serving and storing wine and how to describe wine (using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT).
Perhaps most importantly the course includes a tutored tasting of eight exceptional wines selected as exemplary examples of their styles. Whilst these wines will change depending on availability we will always include some of the world's leading wines - we believe the quality of the wines you'll taste to be a key point of difference to other schools making the course a real joy.
This Level 1 Awards in Wine course is completed in a single day starting at 9am and finishing around 5pm. A 45 minute, 30 question multiple choice finishes the course (exact timings arranged on booking).
