Blank Canvas, 'Abstract' Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough 2019

Another fantastic single vineyard wine from the Parker-Thomsons, this Sauvignon Blanc differs from their other Holdaway Vineyard offering (and indeed most Marlborough examples of the grape), thanks to its distinct blackcurrant nose. This is supported by the more typical passion fruit and flinty aromas and balanced by some savouriness to the palate. 15 months in old French oak puncheons also provides structure, making this a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with a real point of difference.
