As we near the much-anticipated arrival of Collery's vintage masterpiece, the "Empyreumatic 2014 Grand Cru," (which is due to hit shelves in just a couple of weeks), we are thrilled to share that this exceptional champagne has already achieved some accolades, being awarded a prestigious gold medal in The Champagne Masters 2023 competition.
The Drinks Business also recently highlighted Collery's triumph by featuring it among its top picks from the award-winning vintage champagnes. You can read the article here.
The Drinks Business really capture the essence of Collery's vintage, bold, savoury, and smoky... inspired by fine cigars.
We like to say that Champagne Collery starts where others finish with their entry-level being more "special cuvee" in style thanks to oaked base wine, long lees ageing and the use of Grand Cru fruit. This is the top end of their offering. As the Italians would say, vini di meditazione, or a wine to meditate to... I'm sure the French speakers among you will be able to suggest a, more appropriate, French alternative.
Stock is extremely limited of this wine (exact RRP is actually £100) so do get in touch if you'd like to reserve some.
We also still have some space left on our trip to meet the producer, more details on that can be found here.
