It was not in the vineyard that we fist came across Cantina Valle Tritana… we found ourselves sipping on a glass in the busy cafes of Rome. Luckily we were en-route to Abruzzo and added a stop to our tour.
The winery is located right in the heart of the Abruzzo region in a valley which gives the winery its name, Valle Tritana. The surrounding area of the Tritana Valley has a special microclimate with warm days and cold nights.
The Montepulciano grape has been cultivated in this area since ancient times.
You’ll find wonderful balance in these wines. Bold enough to highlight the characteristics of the grapes, fresh enough to make for crowd-pleasing wine. Our mid week go-to!
