We're celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau Day at our Islington branch with a drop-in tasting. Join us anytime between 6pm-9pm on Thursday 19th November. Tickets £15 per person.

Lesser known in the UK, Beaujolais Nouveau Day is a national celebration in France. Historically, Beaujolais Nouveau was made to celebrate the end of harvest and given to everyone involved in helping. The wine is released early on the third Thursday in November, just after midnight. This quickly became labelled 'Beaujolais Nouveau Day' and was marked with races to get bottles of the new wine to markets all across the globe.
