Moschopolis, Assyrtiko 6, Thessaloniki 2021

Farmed organically on poor soil, this unique blend of 90% Assyrtiko and 10% Xinomavro is matured in a French barrique for 6 months (one third new, the rest second and third fill), yielding incredible complexity. Flavours of floral blossom, honeysuckle, melon and bruised lemons, all interwoven with a barrel-derived smokiness. An age-worthy wine which will go on to develop hints of brioche and naphthalene.
